The junior entered the doubleheader with five on the season, and then hit one in each game to surpass the previous record of six set by Brittany Jensen back in the 2010 season.

Willems entered the season with one career home run, but has taken advantage to her opportunities this season, and has been especially hot of late, smashing six home runs in her last ten games. Through 21 games, Willems leads the UMAC in both home runs (seven) and slugging percentage (.825), and also ranks in the top ten in runs batted in (23) and doubles (seven).

Willems and the Knights return to action on Thursday, April 17, when they host Northwestern in a double header scheduled for 1 p.m.
