ST. PAUL, Minn. - MLC softball player Karla Opperman was named UMAC Player of the Week for her performance this past week in helping the Knights to a 5-5 record.
Karla Opperman was named UMAC Player of the Week
Opperman hit .375 in 24 at bats for the week with five home runs, 14 RBI, ten walks, and a slugging percentage of 1.042. The five home runs give her six on the season, tying her for the single-season record, and made her the all-time leader in home runs at MLC with 13 for her career.
Opperman and the Knights will finish out the season tomorrow (Wednesday, May 4) when they travel to St. Olaf for a double header set to begin at 4 p.m.
