Alex Hastings scored her 11th goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Northland

The Knights outshot the Lumberjills 23-8 in the game, but fell behind early when Madeleine Wieland scored in the fifth minute to put Northland ahead 1-0.

MLC would respond, however, with Alyssa Maertz tying the game in the 25th minute with her second goal of the season, allowing Alex Hastings to send home the game-winner off an assist from Jenna Maurer in the 62nd minute. The goal was the 11th of the season for Hastings.

Keely Keese stopped three of the four shots she faced in goal for the Knights, while Bethany Schultz led all players with 11 total and shots and seven shots on goal.

With the win, MLC finished the regular season at 12-7 overall and 10-4 in the UMAC, giving the program its first ever ten-win season in conference play. Northland dropped to 9-7-3 on the season and 5-7-2 in league play in defeat.

The Knights will now move on to the UMAC Postseason Tournament. They will play at second seed Minnesota Morris on Tuesday, November 5, at 2 p.m.
