NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's soccer team closed out its season with a 4-1 win over Presentation Saturday at Knights Field.

Hannah Mattek had a goal and an assist in MLC's win over PC

The Knights jumped on top early on a Hannah Mattek goal from Kadie Drake, her ninth of the season.

After Presentation tied the game at 1-1, the Knights' Kadie Drake scored twice more in the first half to take control of the game. The two goals gave Drake ten for the season.

With the Saints continuing to hang around in the second half, Bethany Schultz scored the clincher in the 77th minute off a free kick from just outside the box, giving her 12 goals for the season.

MLC outshot PC 28-8 for the game, including a 15-5 edge in shots on goal. Allison Snyder and Debbie Cook combined to stop four of the five shots on net from PC.

With the win, MLC finished the season with a record of 8-11-1 overall and 5-8-1 in the UMAC, putting them in sixth place in the final conference standings. Presentation dropped to 2-17 on the season and 0-14 in conference play with the loss.
