Knights Take Down Storm
ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - First-year forward Linda Kenyon scored her second career hat trick for the MLC women's soccer team in a 4-0 win at Crown Friday afternoon.
Kenyon's three goals for the game give her ten on the season, the most in the UMAC.
Fellow first-year player Alydia Lee got the scoring going for MLC, putting the Knights up 1-0 in the third minute of play. The goal was her fourth of the season.
Allison Snyder and the Knights defense held the Saints scoreless, with Snyder making all six stops on net, while her defense, led by Heidi Wilz, Emily Marggraf, Abigail Horn and Jessica Aulich, kept PC on the outside for most of the contest.
With the win, MLC improved to 6-4-1 overall, and 3-1-1 in the UMAC, while Crown dropped to 2-6 on the season and 1-4 in conference.
MLC will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, October 9), when they travel to Northwestern. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
