Women Take Fourth at UMAC XC Championships

NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's cross country team finished fourth at the UMAC Championships Saturday held at the Brightwood Hills Golf Course.

Emilee Koltz was the top individual finisher for MLC at the UMAC Championships


The Knights took fourth out of eight competing teams, finishing behind St. Scholastica, Minnesota Morris and Bethany Lutheran with 114 total points.

Emilee Koltz and Amara Biebert were the top runners on the day for the Knights, taking 14th and 15th place, respectively. Koltz finished the meet in a time of 24:57.0, while Biebert crossed the line at 24:58.3.

Rebecca Rehberger, Hannah Hackbarth and Sarah Hackbarth rounded out the line-up for the Knights, finishing 26th, 29th and 30th, respectively.

As a team, the Knights also received the Team Sportsmanship Award, as voted by the coaches in the conference.

The Knights will return to the trails next week (Friday, November 8) when they run at St. John's.
