ST. PAUL, Minn. - MLC junior guard Erica Babinec was named UMAC Player of the Week in women's basketball for the second consecutive week Tuesday.

Babinec averaged 28.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in two games last week, including a 33-point effort in the Knights' 52-49 loss to Northland on Saturday, February 12.
MLC finished the week 1-1 against St. Scholastica and Northland, two teams competing with the Knights for the final two spots in the conference tournament next week.
Babinec is now averaging 21.7 points per game in UMAC play, second best in the conference, and is also averaging 6.8 rebounds per game.
