Loescher Leads Men at Macalester

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The MLC men's track team finished with 15 total points at the Bolstorff Twilight Meet at Macalester Wednesday night, placing them 14th out of 18 participating teams.

Andrew Loescher (Jackson, Wis./KMLHS) was the biggest point winner for the Knights, taking home 10 points for being the highest finisher from an attending school in the javelin with a throw of 53.99 meters. He finished second overall in the event. Joshua Ernst (Eugene, Mo./Cole County R-v) finished tenth in the javelin and picked up one point for MLC.

Ethan Wessel (Sparta, Wis./Luther) picked up two points for the Knights after finishing seventh in the high jump with a jump of 5-11.25.

Nathan Loersch (Mequon, Wis./LPS) and Jacob Steinmetz (Watertown, S.D./GPLHS) each brought home one point with high finishes in the 1500 meter run and triple jump, respectively.

The Knights will return to the track on Friday, April 23, when they travel to Simpson for the Kip Janvrin Open.
