ST. PAUL - MLC men's track athlete Todd Brassow set a new MLC record in the High Jump to help lead the men's team at Macalester Thursday night.

Todd Brassow set a new school record with a jump of 1.98 meters in the High Jump at Macalester

Brassow broke a school record he previously set in the team's first meet of the season at Buena Vista (1.95 meters) with a jump of 1.98 meters at Macalester to win the event to gain MLC ten points at the meet.

Also scoring points for MLC at the event were Phil Loescher, who finished second in the Javelin Throw with a throw of 49.42 meters, and Jacob Steinmetz, who took fourth place in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.41 meters.

The Knights finished the meet with 26 total points, good for 11th place out of 16 teams in attendance.

The men will be joined by the women's team in the final tune-up before the UMAC Championships this Saturday (April 27) at Gustavus.
