MLC Men Lose Conference Opener

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team dropped its conference opener to St. Scholastica by the final of 9-0 Saturday afternoon.
Paul Koester and the Knights lost 9-0 to St. Scholastica
In singles, the Knights lost all six matches in straight sets, with Scott Henrich and Paul Koster coming closest to taking a set by winning three points in one set.
In doubles, the Knights lost the three matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-3 and 8-2.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the UMAC, while CSS improved to 9-6 on the season and 3-0 in league play.
MLC will return to action on Tuesday, April 3, when North Central comes to New Ulm for a 3 p.m. match.
