Men Win First Match of the Season against NCU
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team won its first match of the season 5-4 at North Central Tuesday night.
The veterans on the Knights carried the day, leading MLC to wins in each of the top four singles matches, and also in the top doubles match.
Scott Henrich won his number one singles match 6-1 and 6-2, and also teamed with Paul Koester to win the top doubles match 8-6. Koester won his singles match in the second spot 6-5 and 6-4, while Ryan Obry and Phil Hunter each won their singles matches as well.
With the win, MLC improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the UMAC, while North Central dropped to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
The Knights will return to the courts Thursday, April 7, when they host Northwestern for a match set to start at 3 p.m.
