Men Take Down Vikings
NEW ULM, Minn. - The men's tennis team picked up its second win of the season Wednesday in a 7-2 win over Bethany.
Daniel Rick helped win a point in MLC's win over Bethany
MLC took five of six singles matches against Bethany, and also took two of three doubles matches.
Scott Henrich (Milwaukee, Wis./LPS) and Ryan Obry (Eldorado, Wis./WLA) were especially dominant in singles competition, with Henrich winning his number one singles match 6-0 and 6-1, while Obry won his number four singles match 6-0 and 6-0.
In double action, David Zuberbier (Appleton, Wis./FVL) and Andrew Becker (Jackson, Wis./KMLHS) won their number two doubles match 8-2, while Brian Gephart (Saint Joseph, Mich./MLHS) and Daniel Rick (LaValle, Wis./Wonewoc Center) won a thrilling match in the number three spot in a tie-breaker.
With the win, MLC improved to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the UMAC. The Knights will return to the courts on Saturday, April 17, when they travel to St. Scholastica for a 3 p.m. match.
