Men Shut Out Vikings
MANKATO, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team dominated Bethany Monday, beating the Vikings 9-0.
The Knights won all six singles matches in straight sets. Scott Henrich won the top singles match 6-0 and 6-0, Paul Koester won the number singles match 6-2 and 6-1, and Ryan Obry won third singles 6-3 and 6-1.
In the bottom half of the singles line-up, Phil Hunter won 6-2 and 6-0, David Marquardt won 6-1 and 6-0, and Tom Gorzalski won 6-1 and 6-4.
The Knights also took all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-5. 8-3, and 8-5.
With the win, MLC improved to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the UMAC, while Bethany dropped to 2-4 on the season.
MLC will return to action on Thursday, April 14, when it hosts Sioux Falls for a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
