Men's Tennis Splits Double Header

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team split a double header Saturday, defeating North Central 9-0 before losing 8-1 to Hamline.

MLC started the day with a sweep of North Central. The Knights' Scott Henrich, Paul Koester, Russ Scoggins, Kris Kuschel, Micah Koelpin and Tom Gorzalski took all six singles matches in straight sets.

In doubles action, the Knights won three matches against NCU by the scores of 8-0, 8-4 and 8-2.

The Knights lost all six matches in singles to Hamline, with the lone point coming in number one doubles from the team of Henrich and Koester by the score of 8-6.

MLC moved its record to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in UMAC play with the split.

The Knights return to the courts on Monday, April 29, when they host Bethany Lutheran.
