NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost 8-1 to Northwestern in the first home match of the season Thursday.

Philip Schroeder gained the Knights' point in an 8-1 loss to UNW

The Eagles took five of the six singles matches, with MLC's point coming from a 6-4, 7-5 win by Philip Schroeder in number five singles.

In doubles, Northwestern came away with three wins by the scores of 8-2, 8-3 and 8-6

MLC fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the UMAC in defeat, while UNW improved to 6-11 on the season and 5-1 in league play with the win.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Friday, April 11) when they host UM-Morris in a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
