Men's Tennis Loses 9-0 to CSS
DULUTH, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team was unable to take a point in a 9-0 loss Saturday at St. Scholastica.
The Saints proved why they lead the conference standings, taking the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-0, and then taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
Paul Koester played in the most competitive singles match of the day, losing in the number two spot by the scores of 6-2 and 7-6.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the UMAC, while St. Scholastica improved to 9-9 on the season and 6-0 in league play.
MLC will return to the courts on Tuesday, April 19, when it travels to Northwestern for a match scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
