Men Fall to Macalester in Non-Conference Meet
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team was unable to notch a win in a 9-0 loss at Macalester Tuesday night.
Sophomore Scott Henrich (Milwaukee, Wis./LPS) nearly forced a third set in his match at the number two singles spot before losing in straight sets by a final of 2-6 and 5-7. Paul Koester (Milwaukee, Wis./LPS) also played well in his second set at the number three singles position in a 1-6 and 3-6 loss.
In doubles, the team of Koester and Philip Hunter (Middleton, Wis./LPS) did the best of the three teams in a 2-8 loss in the number two doubles spot.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 0-2 on the season. The Knights will return to action on April 6, when they travel to North Central for a match scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
