Eagles Take Down MLC Men

FRIDLEY, Minn. - The MLC men's tennis team lost by the score of 9-0 to Northwestern Wednesday at the Lifetime Fitness Center.


NWC started the match with a sweep in doubles by the scores of 8-1, 8-1 and 8-3.

In singles, Paul Koester was able to force a third set in number two singles, but finished with a loss by the score of 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4).

With the loss, MLC dropped to 2-4 overall this season and 2-4 in the UMAC, while NWC improved to 11-9 on the season and 7-1 in league play.

MLC will return to action Friday, April 26, when it travels to Morris for a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
