MLC Student-Athletes Honored for Academics
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The UMAC released its list of Academic All-Conference winners from the fall sports season Wednesday, with 62 MLC student-athletes being honored. MLC also finished with the highest team GPAs of any team in the conference in men's soccer and football.
62 MLC fall athletes were named Academic All-Conference
"I'm very proud of our student-athletes here at MLC," Athletic Director James Unke said. "We always talk about the importance of academics, and I'm very pleased that we have so many young men and women in our programs that understand and believe in that."
MLC finished second in the UMAC in total individual recipients to St. Scholastica, who had 70.
To be selected as an honoree, an athlete must post a 3.5 or better GPA during the fall semester and also compete in the sport in which he or she is nominated.
