MLC Men Lose Opener at WLC
MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost its season opener at Wisconsin Lutheran College by the score of 5-0 on Sunday.
The Warriors took control from the jump, scoring 22 seconds in the match, and then twice more in the first six minutes to take an early 3-0 lead.
WLC wasn't done, scoring twice more before the end of the first half to build its lead to 5-0 going into the break.
The Knights finished the game with four shots, led by two from Aaron Markgraf.
Eric Hahn got the start in goal for the Knights, stopping seven of the 12 shots he faced in the first half before giving way to Caleb King, who stopped all five shots he saw in the second half.
MLC will return to action on Thursday, September 4, when it hosts Buena Vista in the home opener. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
