STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team was unable to slow down the Beavers of Buena Vista in a 4-0 loss in Friday night's season opener.

The Knights had their chances throughout the game, matching the Beavers in shots at 11-11 in the final totals, but were unable to take advantage of opportunities on the offensive side.

Buena Vista took the lead in the 11th minute on a goal by Kwame Antwi, and then added an insurance tally late in the half to build a 2-0 halftime lead.

Antwi struck again in the second half, scoring goals in the 63rd and 67th minutes to finish with three in the game and put the Knights away.

Ryan Lemke led MLC with five shots in the game, while Nathan Graumann finished with three.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, August 31) when they face Illinois College at 4 p.m. at Buena Vista.
