ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost its UMAC opener by the score of 6-0 at the University of Northwestern Friday afternoon.

Eric Hahn had ten saves in the Knights' loss to UNW


The Knights kept things close for the first half, trailing only 1-0 heading into the break.

The Eagles' offense would start to fire on all cylinders in the second half, scoring several times early in the half against starting goalkeeper Eric Hahn, and then three more times against back-up Ben Balge.

MLC finished with seven shots in the game, led by two each from Ryan Lemke and Nathan Graumann. Hahn stopped nine of the 12 shots he faced in goal for the Knights.

MLC dropped to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in UMAC play with the loss, while UNW improved to 1-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference action.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, September 21) when they travel to North Central for a game scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
