DULUTH, Minn. – The MLC men’s soccer team lost at St. Scholastica 6-0 Friday.

The Saints had a strong offensive performance from Andrew Jenkins, who scored three goals in the match, and Joe Watt added two scores and an assist.

Jenkins scored the first two goals for CSS, the first coming in the fifth minute and the second coming in the 17th minute. Watt added the next two to give CSS a four-goal lead.

Jenkins scored his third in the 72nd minute, and Ben Cullen finished off the scoring late in the second half as the Saints wrapped up the win.

CSS outshot MLC 34-2, including a 19-0 edge in shots on goal. Eric Hahn stopped 13 shots in goal for the Knights.

With the loss, MLC dropped to 2-8 on the season and 1-5 in UMAC play, while CSS improved to 9-2 overall and 7-0 in league play.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 6, when they host Bethany in a match scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
