MANKATO, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team was unable to generate a goal in a 1-0 loss in overtime at Bethany Tuesday.

Ben Zietlow stopped all but one shot in a 1-0 overtime loss at Bethany Tuesday

The MLC defense and goalie Ben Zietlow held the Vikings scoreless, but Bethany's CK Pock scored in the second minute of overtime to give BLC the win.

Bethany outshot MLC 28-13 overall and 10-2 on goal, with Zietlow stopping nine of those shots. John Paustian and Levi Dunsmoor had the two shots on net for MLC. Paustian and Steve White each had three shots.

The overtime loss was the second third time in the last five games that the Knights went into overtime, with MLC's record at 0-2-1 in those contests.

With the loss, MLC dropped to 4-7-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the UMAC, while Bethany improved to 7-6 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.

MLC will return to action on Friday, October 15, when they host Northwestern for a 1:30 game.
