Knights Tie Crown

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC men's soccer team played Crown to a 1-1 tie at Knight Field Saturday.

Kaleb Buch scored in MLC's 1-1 tie with Crown

Kaleb Buch opened the scoring in the 4th minute, taking pass from Steve White and putting it past the keeper to give the Knights the lead 1-0 early on.

The Storm fired back and evened the score in the 18th minute when Mark Matson fired home the equalizer to tie the game at 1-1.

That would be the end of the scoring as the Knights and the Storm fought through another half and two overtimes. The Knights and Storm tied in shots on goal at 12 apiece. Kaleb Buch led the Knights with 5 shots on goal.

With the tie, the Knights record is now 4-8-2 and 1-6-2 in conference. The Storm go to 4-8-2 overall and 3-5-1 in conference play.

The Knights next game is October 22, as they travel to Northland.
