Knights lose Close at Northwestern
ST. PAUL - The MLC men's soccer team lost at Northwestern by the score of 1-0 Saturday.
The two teams were scoreless for the first 82 minutes of action, but Northwestern scored in the 83rd minute to win the game.
MLC goalkeeper Eric Hahn stopped 14 of the 15 shots he faced in net.
The Knights finished the game with nine shots, seven of which were on net. Ross Chartrand led the team in both categories with four shots (all on goal).
MLC dropped to 2-14 on the season and 1-11 in league play with the loss. NWC improved to 9-7-1 overall and 7-3-2 in the UMAC with the win.
The Knights will next play on Friday, October 26, when they host St. Scholastica in a game scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
