last modified 2012-01-31 02:02 PM

ST. PAUL - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its academic all-conference awards Tuesday, with 44 MLC student-athletes from fall sports receiving recognition. MLC also had four teams (volleyball, football, men's golf and men's soccer) finish with the highest team GPA in the conference in their respective sports.

In total, MLC's 44 individual honors tied for third in the conference behind St. Scholastica and UM-Morris, while the four team awards gave the Knights the highest GPA in half of the fall sports.

To receive individual academic all-conference recognition, an athlete must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester in which the season took place.
