The Knights trailed the game 6-0 at the time it was suspended on April 7 because of rain, wit NWC scoring six times in the second inning off MLC starter Eric Mielke.

MLC scored once in the top of the third today on an RBI double by Joe Schmudlach, but the Eagles put the game away with six runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth off MLC pitcher Jonathan Bumhoffer.

The Knights scored their only other run in the seventh inning on a single by Shane Bunde, giving him his first hit and RBI in his first career plate appearance.

Northwestern finished the game with 15 hits off MLC pitchers, while the Knights had seven hits in the game.

MLC dropped to 7-22 overall and 5-14 in the UMAC with the loss.

The Knights will return to action on Friday, May 4, when they host Presentation for the final conference double header of the season.
