NEW ULM, Minn. - The baseball team dropped both games in its first home double header Thursday afternoon to Presentation by the scores of 17-4 and 5-2 in extra innings.

The Saints busted open a 3-0 game in the top of the fourth inning with five runs in the fourth, and then put the game away with nine more in the sixth to finish off the Knights by the score of 17-4.

Bryan Scriver (Kansasville, Wis./Shoreland) got the start for the Knights and picked up the loss, allowing eight runs on 11 hits in 3.1 innings of work. Scriver dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

At the plate, the Knights scratched across one run in the fifth and sixth innings, and then two more in the seventh. Tyler Morgan (New Ulm, Minn./MVL) and Tyler Dorn (Sturtevant, Wis./Shoreland) had two hits and an RBI apiece, while Josh Schultz (Antioch, Wis./LPS) added one hit and an RBI.


MLC dropped it's record in extra inning games to 0-4 on the season in a 5-2 loss in game two.

Joe Janke (Big Bend, Wis./WISCO) went all nine innings on the mound, holding the Saints to two runs through eight innings before allowing three runs in the ninth to pick up the loss and fall to 0-2 on the season. None of the five runs Janke allowed in the game were earned.

Schultz had the big hit for the Knights in the bottom of the sixth, erasing a 2-0 deficit with a home run to left field that scored Morgan to tie up the score and force extras.

With the two losses, MLC fell to 0-12 on the season overall and 0-2 in conference play. Presentation improved to 3-10 with the win and 2-0 in the UMAC.
