Baseball Drops Two against Marywood

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - The Martin Luther College baseball team lost a pair of games to Marywood University on day of its season opening trip to Florida by the scores of 3-2 and 11-4.

Aaron Stokke was one of the Knights' top hitters in a double header against Marywood

Matt Olson pitched all seven innings for MLC in the loss, allowing two earned runs while striking out five as he fell to 0-1 on the season.

Aaron Stokke and Andrew Nemmers drove in the two runs for the Knights.

[Marywood 11, MLC 4]

The Knights' Jonathan Kock started the game, allowing five runs (two earned) in four innings before giving way to three different relievers to finish the game.

Stokke finished with a double to lead the hitters, with MLC scattering seven hits in the game.

MLC fell to 0-4 on the season with the two losses, while the two wins pushed Marywood's record to 4-3.

The Knights get two days off now, and will return to action on Monday, March 10, when they play Geneva in a double header scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. local time.
