Scholarships & Grants
Martin Luther College will award the following estimated scholarship and grant amounts in 2013-14:
- $750,000 merit aid from institutional funds
- $1,200,000 need aid from institutional funds
- $875,000 Federal Pell Grants
- $175,000 Minnesota State Grant
Scholarships
- Presidential Scholarship: $3,000 to each high school valedictorian
- National Merit Finalist Scholarship: $4,000 to each Merit Finalist
- Messenger Scholarship: $2000 to each freshman with a high school GPA of 3.75-4.00 or an ACT score of 30 or above
- Witness Scholarship: $1,500 to each freshman with a high school GPA of 3.50-3.74 or an ACT score of 27-29
- Ministry Scholarships: $1,000 to 70 sophomores, juniors, seniors, or fifth-year students whose gifts may not show up on a report card (chosen by faculty each year)
Grants
- Federal Pell Grant, $605 to $5,645
- MLC Grant, $200 to $7,000
- Federal Supplementary Educational Opportunity Grant, $200 to $1,000
- Minnesota State Grant, $9,444 maximum
- Salem Grant, $200 to $1,000
- WELS Distance Grant, $400 to $1,300
